Attorney Scott A. Joseph grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. He went to the University of Maryland and the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law. Scott met his future wife during his second year of law school, and she convinced him to stay in New England. He soon became a Boston sports fan and has not looked back.
In 2003, Scott and his wife founded the Law Office of Joseph & Joseph in Newton, Massachusetts. Scott concentrated in Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Business Law, and Estate Planning at Joseph & Joseph, until 2019, when his wife’s career path led her to other professional opportunities. While attending a networking event, Scott fortuitously ran into Michael Cosentino who encouraged him to join Wilchins, Cosentino & Novins.
Scott serves as ‘counsel’ at WCN, which provides him with the benefit of affiliating with colleagues who specialize in complementary areas of the law. He enjoys the camaraderie of WCN, and the ability to collaborate on behalf of his clients and offer a wide breadth of legal services.
Scott works with many individuals and small to mid-sized privately held businesses, from entrepreneurs to family-owned businesses. His clients span various industries including real estate developers, renewable energy companies, home heating oil companies, banks, mortgage lenders and restaurateurs.
Outside the office, Scott loves to travel, stays fit at CrossFit New England and enjoys softball. He and his wife have two daughters who recently graduated college. When Scott was a season ticket holder of the New England Patriots, he typically gave away pre-season game tickets. About ten years ago, he sought to give away pre-season tickets and found himself entering an office in his building to see if he could find a taker. Not only did the people in the office graciously accept the tickets, but they invited him to get involved with their organization. He continues to serve as a board member of the Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachusetts (JCAM). Scott’s energy and real estate background help JCAM manage and maintain over 125 Jewish cemeteries throughout eastern Massachusetts.
