Meet Attorney Kristine Ann Cummings

by

Kristine Ann Cummings is a seasoned trial attorney focusing on matrimonial and family law, as well as probate litigation. She approaches complex matters with a determination to ensure that her clients are heard. From high-conflict custody disputes to financially sophisticated divorces, Kristine provides clear, pragmatic and compassionate counsel during some of her clients’ most difficult transitions.

Growing up in a hardworking family in Pennsylvania, Kristine first imagined a career in the creative world. After earning her undergraduate degree in journalism from Temple University, she pursued a path in magazine journalism. She soon realized, however, that she wanted to make a more direct and tangible impact on people’s lives and decided to enter the legal profession. During her first court appearance as a student attorney, Kristine represented a domestic violence victim whose circumstances had left her struggling to be heard. That experience confirmed that family law was the work she wanted to pursue. She went on to earn her J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Today, with nearly twenty years of litigation experience, Kristine is a respected advocate at both the negotiating table and in the courtroom. As a Certified Financial Litigator, she routinely handles cases requiring sophisticated business valuation and forensic accounting analysis. She also brings sound judgment and deep sensitivity to difficult matters involving parenting and custody disputes. At Wilchins Cosentino & Novins, clients and colleagues rely on her ability to solve difficult problems and navigate emotionally charged and legally complicated situations with discretion, dignity and respect.

Beyond the firm, Kristine’s life is anchored by her family and community. She is a dedicated mother to her young son, Kit, and volunteers her time with the Junior League of Boston.

Outside the practice of law, Kristine returns to her creative roots through writing, cooking and travel. She is the voice behind The Boston Bon Vivant, a lifestyle blog that serves as a virtual scrapbook and road map for crafting a well-curated life. Whether writing about her take on an elegant New England clambake, a summer weekend in Nantucket or a guide to the game of croquet, Kristine brings curiosity, warmth and a strong sense of place to her life beyond the law.
