Attorney Profile

Much of Christopher’s practice involves counselling fiduciaries in the settlement and administration of trusts and estates. Christopher guides family members, personal representatives and trustees through complex phases of trust and estate settlement, including probate administration, asset consolidation and distribution, trust funding, preparation of estate and gift tax returns and post-mortem estate planning strategies. In addition, he handles guardian and conservatorship matters.

Christopher’s practice also includes advising and representing individuals and families in estate planning, with an emphasis on tax planning, asset protection strategies and family financial decision-making.

Christopher stays abreast of the state of the law and industry trends through continuing legal education and by attending national and state-wide estate planning, estate administration and elder law conferences. He endeavors to incorporate these trends and new techniques into his practice as to provide the most cutting edge services for his clients as possible.

Chris earned his Master of Laws (LL.M) in Estate Planning and Elder Law from Western New England University School of Law, and Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Barry University School of Law. During law school, Chris served in many leadership positions, including President of the St. Thomas More Society, and was appointed by the Dean to represent the school and student body by serving on the University’s Mission Effectiveness Committee.

Prior to joining Wilchins Cosentino & Novins LLP, Chris ran his own estate planning firm, Catrambone Estate Planning, LLC, was an associate with Cody, Cody & McCarthy, LLC and was a paralegal at Dennis Sullivan and Associates.
